The Maiden Tower

Shirvanshah Palace

Azkyh Cave

In 1960, archaeologist Mammadali Huseynov discovered this place with the help of the expedition and began to analyze. After unveiling processes, Mammadali Huseynov realized that Azkyh cave is the first most ancient place for human beings. The people who lived here were called Azykhantrops. Finally, all long processes helped to get a positive result, and in 1968 the jaw bone of person was found in the cave. It belonged to the Neanderthal type of person. Gamigaya Drawings
