Absheron & Shahdili 2-Day Tour Plan
Day 1:
Morning: Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Baku to the Absheron Peninsula. Your first stop will be the Atashgah Fire Temple, an ancient Zoroastrian place of worship. This UNESCO-listed temple offers a glimpse into Azerbaijan’s ancient spiritual heritage and its unique connection to fire.
Midday: Head to the Gobustan National Park, known for its ancient petroglyphs and mud volcanoes. Beautiful Azerbaijan
The Absheron Peninsula is full of surprises, from ancient temples to stunning beaches. The Atashgah Fire Temple provided a fascinating insight into ancient Azerbaijan, and the mud volcanoes in Gobustan were unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Absheron
2-day tour offered the perfect mix of history, culture, and nature. I was fascinated by the ancient Atashgah Fire Temple and its connection to Zoroastrianism. The petroglyphs at Gobustan national park were like stepping into the past, offering a glimpse of early human history. Fuad, our guide, was incredibly friendly and shared fascinating stories at every stop. The views from Mardakan Castle were breathtaking, and Shahdili village was a peaceful retreat. Absheron’s natural beauty and historical sites
The visit to the Atashgah Fire Temple was awe-inspiring, offering insight into Azerbaijan’s ancient spiritual roots. The petroglyphs at Gobustan were fascinating, and I loved the eerie landscape of the mud volcanoes. The highlight for me was Shahdili Beach, where I spent hours relaxing by the Caspian Sea, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The nature reserve offered a great opportunity to connect with nature, and we even saw a variety of birds.
