Description
After arriving in Baku, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and enjoy breakfast before taking some time to rest and refresh. In the afternoon, embark on a guided Baku City Tour, starting with a scenic walk along Baku Boulevard by the Caspian Sea. Then, explore the iconic Flame Towers for panoramic views of the city, followed by a stroll through Fountain Square, the vibrant cultural heart of Baku. In the evening, you have the option to enjoy a traditional Azerbaijani dinner featuring dishes like plov, dolma, and kebabs at a local restaurant. To end the day, you can opt for the Flame Towers light show or dive into Baku’s lively nightlife. The next day, your tour will begin with a pickup from your hotel and your first destination will be Gobustan, an archaeological site famous for its rock carvings. You'll visit the Gobustan Museum to learn about the region's UNESCO World Heritage status and its fascinating history. Afterward, you'll explore Gobustan Rock Mountain, home to over 3,500 petroglyphs created by ancient humans, offering a glimpse into Azerbaijan’s prehistoric past. Next, you'll head to the Mud Volcanoes, where you can experience this unique natural phenomenon and collect mud known for its skin benefits. Following a break for lunch, you’ll visit the Fire Temple of Ateshgah, a sacred site on the Absheron Peninsula, and hear about its connection to the oil industry. The following day, after breakfast at the hotel, depart for Sheki (approximately 4 hours drive). Visit Sheki Khan's Palace, known for its intricate stained-glass windows and beautiful architecture. Explore the Sheki Bazaar, offering local products and handmade crafts, and visit the Church of Kish. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant like piti before returning to Baku.
