In the afternoon, delve into the region’s Zoroastrian heritage at the Atashgah "House of Fire" temple and the burning mountain of Yanar Dag. Travel along the famous Georgian Military Highway towards the Caucasus Mountains. Stop at the 17th-century Ananuri architectural complex overlooking the Zhinvali Reservoir. Continue to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), a town surrounded by snow-capped peaks, including the towering Mt. Kazbeg. From there, take a 4x4 vehicle through alpine landscapes to the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at 7,119 feet. If the weather allows, you may see one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus. Return to Tbilisi for dinner.
Enjoy your final moments in Georgia with some leisure time or last-minute shopping. Your guide will transfer you to Tbilisi International Airport for your flight back home.
