Gusar – The Northern Gateway of Azerbaijan

Gusar is located in the northeastern part of Azerbaijan, near the border with Russia. Often called the “Northern Gate” to Dagestan, it’s famous for its crystal-clear mountain air, welcoming Lezgin population, and untouched natural beauty.

About 20% of the Gusar region is forest-covered, offering rich flora and fauna. With a history dating back to the 2nd millennium BC, Gusar is not only scenic but also historically important. The region is known for carpet weaving, especially lint-free carpets made on large looms — some of the biggest in the country.

If you're searching for an authentic cultural and adventure tour in Azerbaijan, Gusar should be on your list.

Shahdag Tour will start by picking you up from your hotel or any desired place.

Gorgeous activities for every taste

The gondola ride offers panoramic views that are absolutely stunning. I tried snowmobiles and tubing, and both were exhilarating. This trip has everything you could ask for—nature, adventure, and relaxation. Daniel Thompson 12.12.2021
